I love that these oils are so versatile with a little adjusting they compliment any skin type and make an excellent natural makeup remover.

THE STORY BEHIND OUR MOISTURIZER
From the time I was a teen and started using harsh alcohol based toners & extra strength pimple creams, I used Oil of Olay as my daily moisturizer. I worked hard to strip away natural oils, and an "oil free" moisturizer was what advertising told me I needed to keep my skin clean & clear. Fast forward 10 years and I no longer needed the harsh toners & pimple creams but my same daily moisturizer stuck by my side with added SPF. I wasn't unhappy with the moisturizing aspect of it, but it's the ingredients list that sent me on my search to re-educate myself.
After doing lots of research, I found that not all oils are created equal and that my new mission was to help my skin balance itself ❤
Enter Sweet Almond Oil, it is easily absorbed into the skin and has a softening, soothing quality that conditions our skin reviving its natural glow. It's restores moisture and in case of extreme dryness, instantly combats itching and inflammation.
Why I chose to use Jojoba? Because it's pretty AMAZING! No but really, Jojoba helps promote healing of the skin in many ways, here are my 2 favs! *Reason No.1 The chemical composition of Jojoba most closely resembles that of the skin's natural sebum, so it's easily adsorbed and contains wax esters just like the natural oils our skin produces. Now as we age, the production of these wax esters steadily decrease, causing our skin to appear dull... emphasizing wrinkles, yuck! So jojoba acts as a natural moisturizer and environmental barrier for the skin. *Reason No.2 It can also prevent the skin from becoming too oily and I love this (here's where the naturally balancing comes in.) Again because the structure of jojoba so closely resembles natural sebum, it can actually trick the skin into producing less natural sebum, which unlike jojoba can clog pores. Jojoba may help treat acne, both by reducing sebum production and protecting the skin from harmful bacteria. It also natually contains many important nutrients, such as vitamin E, B complex vitamins and the minerals silicon, chromium, copper and zinc, but that's just a bonus, ha!
