I'm a little late with this post but better late than never- right?!! November brought us signs of autumn- it was a month of celebrations + hard work preparing for the holiday season to kick off.
Autumn finally arrived in the heart of California with cooler days- some much needed rain + leaves falling like confetti all around.
We celebrated my 38th trip around the sun with handmade cards- flowers- candles + breakfast for dinner with some of my most favorite people on the planet.
I have the pleasure of sharing my birthday month with my sweet- sassy daughter Brooke. She often shares her birthday with Thanksgiving but not this year- she had it all to herself! We celebrated her 15th birthday with a medley of desserts from our favorite local bakery.
Happy Thanksgiving! One of my most favorite holidays... We are so fortunate to live near our family. We are only a short drive to good food + drink + family + fun + new friends. A shout out to my mom for preparing an especially beautiful + scrumptious feast this year.
Most of my spare time in November is spent preparing for the holiday season to kick off- after Thanksgiving celebrations. I like to honor the month of November- perhaps because it's my birthday month- or because I love Thanksgiving so. Especially being in retail these last few years- the black friday + cyber monday specials seem to begin earlier every year so we make a conscious effort to hold off on the the holiday craze until after the last slice of pumpkin pie has been devoured.
We wrapped up the month with my most favorite local craft show of the year. It's quite literally where I kick off my holiday season here at Cosmic Bath & Beauty. I didn't even try to compete with Black Friday or Cyber Monday Specials but we did celebrate at Mod Shop on Small Business Saturday. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces and finally meet new Cosmic beauties face to face as well. From the bottom of my heart- Thank you to everyone who came out and made this years Mod Shop a huge success to so many of us. Thank you for supporting our little- local- handmade economy.
I'm feeling a bit more caught up now so I'll be offering some sales + specials for those of you still doing a little holiday shopping. Specials will begin tomorrow <Thursday> and run through the weekend- so keep a look out! xo,m
